The posts made by your visitors will give you a very clear indication of the nature of your traffic. In fact, the people that visit your blog belong to the same demographic as the people who visit your website. This is one of the many reasons why you should supplement your online business with a blog.
But it not just the written content that matters. The Internet is a visual media. You are likely going to use videos and photos. Make sure these are in sync with the preferences of your target audience too. For example if your website is about a pension plan, you could have a retired person sitting comfily by a fireplace and speaking about it. This makes a better impact than if a pimple-faced teenager was to speak about the pension plan.
When you decide on giveaways, think of giveaways that will have some value for the target traffic. Do not give away an eBook on finding summer jobs if your target traffic comprises mainly of middle-aged women. Use your head – you don’t just need the traffic; you want to keep it too.
